What Is 50 Shades of Pink — And Why You Should Join

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month — and while the pink ribbons, the walks, and the social media posts all matter, AntFarm Wellness believes awareness alone is not enough.

Real change happens when women come together, when they are given tools, when they are seen and supported as whole people — not just as patients or survivors or statistics.

That's why we created 50 Shades of Pink.

What Is 50 Shades of Pink?

50 Shades of Pink is AntFarm Wellness's signature breast cancer awareness wellness program. It is a community experience designed to honor survivors, uplift supporters, and empower every woman in our community to prioritize her whole-person wellness.

The name says it all: pink is not just one shade. And neither are the women who wear it.

This program recognizes that the breast cancer journey looks different for every woman. Some are in active treatment. Some are years into survivorship. Some are caregivers who have given everything to someone they love. Some are simply women who have been touched by this disease — through a mother, a sister, a friend — and who want to do something meaningful with that experience.

50 Shades of Pink was built for all of them.

What Makes This Program Different

Most breast cancer awareness programming focuses on information — statistics, screenings, early detection. And that information matters. But AntFarm Wellness goes further.

We believe that wellness is not just the absence of disease. It is the presence of vitality, connection, purpose, and peace. And that kind of wellness requires more than a pamphlet.

50 Shades of Pink is grounded in the 8 Dimensions of Wellness — a whole-person framework that addresses:

  • Physical wellness — movement, rest, nutrition, and body care
  • Emotional wellness — processing feelings, building resilience, and managing stress
  • Social wellness — connection, community, and belonging
  • Intellectual wellness — curiosity, learning, and mental engagement
  • Spiritual wellness — purpose, meaning, and values alignment
  • Occupational wellness — finding fulfillment in how you spend your time
  • Environmental wellness — your relationship with the spaces and world around you
  • Financial wellness — reducing money-related stress and building security
  • When one dimension is out of balance, the others feel it. The breast cancer journey — whether you are a survivor, a caregiver, or a supporter — touches every single one of these dimensions. 50 Shades of Pink gives you the tools to tend to all of them.

What You'll Experience as a Participant

As a 50 Shades of Pink participant, you are not just attending an event. You are stepping into a community.

Here is what participants can expect:

    Whole-Person Wellness Education

Our programming is rooted in lifestyle medicine education, complementary and alternative wellness (CAM) practices, and trauma-informed support. You will learn practical tools for emotional regulation, nervous system support, stress reduction, and health behavior change — all delivered in a way that meets you where you are.

    Community Connection

One of the most powerful things about 50 Shades of Pink is the community it creates. There is something profound about being in a room — or a virtual space — with women who understand. Who have been there. Who are still there. Who show up for each other.

This program creates that space intentionally. You will leave with connections that extend far beyond the program itself.

    Empowerment Tools

We believe every woman has the capacity to take charge of her wellness. 50 Shades of Pink gives you the tools to do exactly that — practical, accessible, and grounded in evidence-based wellness practices that you can use long after the program ends.

    A Safe and Affirming Environment

50 Shades of Pink is a judgment-free zone. There is no right way to be a survivor. There is no right way to grieve, to heal, or to celebrate. This program honors every woman's experience exactly as it is — and creates a space where you can show up fully as yourself.

    Who Should Participate

50 Shades of Pink is for:

  • Breast cancer survivors who are ready to reclaim their wellness and reconnect with their bodies and communities
  • Caregivers and supporters who give so much to others and deserve a space to receive care themselves
  • Women curious about holistic wellness who want to explore what whole-person health looks like for them
  • Anyone ready to invest in their emotional, physical, and spiritual health — regardless of where they are in their journey
  • Baltimore-area women and beyond who believe in the power of community healing
  • If you have been touched by breast cancer — in any way — there is a place for you here.
